HSE APPROVED FIRST AID AT WORK (3 DAYS)
The (HSE) Health and Safety Executive approved our First Aid at Work course, in accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and has given approval to deliver First Aid Training, Its a skill that you wish you will never need but glad that you know it in the event of an emergency situation.
The First aid qualification is available for anybody wishing to learn First aid and covers all the skills and knowledge required to deal with a first aid situation.
Once qualified, holders of this First Aid at Work certificate can be used as First Aiders in the workplace in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. This course can be adapted to suit a particular audience, for example, clerical or security staff. The First Aid at Work course is run over three days and includes both theory and practical sessions. By arrangement the course can be run on non-consecutive days, for example - one day a week over three weeks.

Who is this qualification for?
This qualification can be for anybody who wishes to be a first aider at work. Also it can be for anybody wishing to learn a first aid skill and obtain a recognised qualification.
Once you have completed the course you will gain a valid 3 year certificate which then you can use to prove your competency.
How will i be assesed?
The course Compromises of both theory and practical work, your trainer will be assessing your knowledge and skills throughout the course and at the end of the 3 days a formal scenario based assessment will take place.
Where you will be expected to demonstrate effective first aid on a bleeding casualty, an unconscious casualty and also CPR.
Your trainer will ensure you are ready for the assessment and should not be a concern when deciding to take this course.
Is there any additional training?
After the 3 years you will have to re-validate your qualification by attending a 2 day refresher course, This will then give you a further 3 years on your certificate.
There is also the option to do annual refresher training which is a 1 day course to ensure skill fade has not taken place. (This is highly recommend by the HSE)
